Karessa Cain featured in “Deal Watch”
Karessa Cain, a partner in Wachtell Lipton’s Corporate Department, was featured in the November 28 edition of “Deal Watch” by The American Lawyer.
Karessa played a lead role in two significant deals, both announced on November 21. She represented eBay in its support for the acquisition of Adevinta ASA, valued at $4.3 billion. Additionally, she led the deal team in the spinoff and combination of Jacobs Solutions’ government services businesses, resulting in a technology solutions business with $13 billion in annual revenue.
Notably, Karessa is also leading the Wachtell Lipton team advising Hess on its $60 billion all-stock acquisition by Chevron, which was announced on October 23.
Karessa was selected Dealmaker of the Year by The American Lawyer in 2020, and was recognized as one of The Deal’s Top Women in Dealmaking 2022 and as a leading Corporate/M&A Lawyer by Chambers, among other legal and M&A honors.
